Rover’s global platform makes it easy for pet owners to connect with trusted pet sitters and dog walkers. We’re breaking new ground with an innovative and mission-driven product: the first-to-market online pet care marketplace. Rover.com is looking for an enthusiastic intern interested in learning about corporate law at a fast-paced technology startup. This position will provide support to the in-house legal team and will consist of paid, part-time (10-20 hrs per week) experience working under the supervision of an attorney. Start date is flexible, but mid- to late-June is preferred.
This internship involves:
● performing legal research;
● reviewing and drafting documents;
● joining meetings with business teams in need of strategic advice;
● reviewing marketing materials and product plans; and
● other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Applicants should be currently enrolled in an accredited J.D. or LL.M program and have strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills; intellectual curiosity; a sense of humor; and the willingness to provide business-minded legal advice. Applicants should also have a passion for Rover's mission and be comfortable working in a dog-friendly work environment. We have a preference for students in their 2L and 3L years, but highly qualified 1Ls will be considered.
