The Asian Bar Association of Washington (ABAW) and Asian Bar Association of Washington Student Scholarship Foundation (ABAWSSF) would like to express our sincere gratitude for our sponsors' generous support and attendance at the 2024 ABAW & ABAWSSF Annual Gala!  Your generosity and financial support enabled us to award scholarships totaling $20,000 to five law students in Washington State.  We featured the impressive accomplishments of each of our scholarship recipients at the Annual Gala with a fun trivia game hosted by ABAWSSF President Jeff Liang.

We hope you enjoyed our Annual Gala program, headlined by a powerful keynote address from Professor Robert Chang.  Professor Chang was also honored with the President’s Award for his important work at the Korematsu Center for Law and Equality, Damon Pang was presented with the Community Service Award for his revival and strengthening of ABAW’s pro bono legal clinics, and Judge Ketu Shah was presented with our Judge of the Year honor in recognition of his commitment to justice as Presiding Judge for the King County Superior Court. 

ABAW was formed in 1987 to promote justice, equity, and opportunity in our community.  Over the past 37 years, our membership has grown to include hundreds of AAPI attorneys, judges, professors, and law students across Washington.  ABAW serves to foster mentorship, professional development, legal scholarship, advocacy, and community involvement.  Every year, ABAW and ABAWSSF are proud to carry on one of our most important traditions – awarding scholarships to law students who are future leaders in our community.  All of our achievements and milestones are made possible by wonderful supporters like you.
